In the end, will it matter?

While reading smays.com, I got a kick out of a Scott Adams post he’d blogged about (apologizing to the Iraqi people on behalf of our idiot government). Once upon a time, things such as this would have driven me nuts, but thanks to Steve, I’m changing. Today I hear his voice reminding me how insignificant and fleeting our ideas, beliefs and actions are. Much like a small frog hopping around the pond in our back yard; really, what can it do to have a lasting impact its surroundings, much less its global or universal impact. It simply lives in the moment.

I don’t mean to trivialize the important questions and undertakings of our time. And don’t get me wrong, I still believe, defend, and am willing to fight for my beliefs. I just now realize at the end of the day, none of it is going to matter… thanks Steve. I think.
